Fri 11 September 2009
Staff at the SUBWAY® store in Christchurch are enjoying a double celebration - the store is celebrating its first anniversary, as well as achieving 100% marks a whopping ten times over the last year in the retailer's monthly mystery shopping programme, putting it amongst the very best performing SUBWAY® stores in the UK.
The store, located on the High Street in Christchurch, is owned by franchisees Martin Graves and partner, Sue Davies, and is run by an eight strong team of staff lead by the Store Manager, Mohsina. Commenting on their success, Martin Graves said: "We are absolutely delighted at our Christchurch store's outstanding performance in the mystery shopping programme. On opening the store last year, we set the bar high and our staff have continued to deliver exceptional service month after month. Our success is a testament to the great work that the team do every single day, ensuring that not only do they provide a great service for our customers, but also maintaining an attractive and presentable store. Over a busy lunchtime period, our staff serve over 200 people with made to order Submarine sandwiches - to go the extra mile with each and every customer by delivering exceptional service is no mean feat!"
As part of the SUBWAY® chain's efforts to ensure it delivers outstanding customer service across its store estate, the retailer employs a mystery shopping programme, created and developed by Retail Eyes.
The mystery shopping programme evaluates store performance across a range of criteria, including store environment and facility, product availability and presentation and service by staff.
Erol Ayvaz, SUBWAY® Account Manager at Retail Eyes comments: "The mystery shopping programme we have developed for the SUBWAY® chain evaluates both customer service and the overall customer experience. Competition on the high street is tough but we believe that delivering outstanding experiences will ensure customers keep on returning to stores and recommending it to others. The performance of the Christchurch store is exceptional and the staff and franchisees should be very proud of their achievements."
Local franchisees, Martin Graves and Sue Davies, who both live and work in Dorset currently own eleven stores across Dorset and Wiltshire, including six stores in Bournemouth and stores in Salisbury, Tidworth, Warminster, Christchurch and Swanage and plan to open a further six over the next few years.
Across the UK and Ireland, the SUBWAY® chain has 1,491 stores and plans to open a further 500 outlets over the next three years, creating a further 6,000 jobs with an investment of over £60 million.
